We recently had the most fabulous two nights of entertainment by members of the village and local community. The new Alnmouth Show took place on the 27th and 28th April. Mary Hollins and Jonathan Webb helped to produce the event, with comedy sketches, music and song. Hipsburn Primary School children were outstanding in their rendition of WW1 songs. The Friars of St Francis even made a contribution of ‘The Highway Code’ in plain song. Robin and Martin were assisted by Andrew Baxter to close the show. Mary Hollins was magnificent with a sketch about the virtues of women in the WI. Also Josie McDonagh and Phil Smith performed beautiful music which was enjoyed by everyone. There were other acts too on each evening…….we loved them all!
Coupled with this effort, the company raised over £2300 for the Hall Appeal Fund. We couldn’t be more delighted. We also look forward to putting some dates in the diary for next year.
